As one of the largest of AFP’s 188 chapters worldwide, Chicago’s more than 1,000 members represent a broad spectrum of professional experience, personal and cultural backgrounds. Representing diverse organizations in the areas of health, human services, education, religion, the arts, civic organizations and affiliated consulting firms, our members work for museums, hospitals, universities, community-based service organizations, theatres, mutual aid societies, and a variety of civic, religious and recreational organizations.
The Chicago Chapter offers numerous opportunities to get involved. The chapter provides a wide range of educational programming and networking opportunities throughout the year. Members are encouraged to share their unique talents and expertise by volunteering to serve as a leader or member of a wide range of committees. For those members with an interest in a particular sector of the philanthropic community the chapter offers the opportunity to participate in one of our special interest group networks.
