This foundational, introductory workshop provides opportunities to examine the ways in which long histories of power and oppression have created lasting, profound, and disproportionate inequities. We approach this webinar by exploring inequity on personal, interpersonal, and institutional levels, relative to the identities we hold, understanding that those with historically marginalized identities continue to fare worse than those with privileged identities when it comes to institutional experiences, and societal outcomes. In this introductory workshop, we will provide opportunities for participants to deepen their understanding of:

• The identities we each hold and how those identities guide our role in creating diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Foundational DREI concepts and terminology
• Tools and actions to support increasing DREI interpersonally, and institutionally
