8:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Opening Keynote with Roundtable Discussions

The Shifting Landscape of Philanthropy
(Not Your Traditional Keynote!)

Sponsored by The Chicago Community Trust and Campbell & Company

Today’s fundraising is getting more complicated than ever – new forms of social good organizations entering the marketplace; donors moving toward an “investment” mentality; and key challenges in the diversity of our profession.  In a series of short talks, keynote speakers will share thought-provoking insights about these trends and challenge the audience to discuss their opinions, examples and best practices in facilitated small group discussions.  Groups will have a chance to share back their ideas and gain insights from all of the leaders in the audience.

While this opening session will foreshadow many of the important topics on our agenda for Chicago’s Development Day, it will also allow participants the opportunity to engage in in-depth small group conversations on some of the most challenging topics facing our field today.  Please join us for an exciting opening on our shifting landscape in a non-traditional format.
