If you are not familiar with this opportunity, the Peer Mentoring Program pairs proteges (fundraising professionals with less than 5 years of experience) with a mentor (a seasoned fundraising professional) for one year. This program has been very beneficial and career-changing for many fundraising professionals and is one of the many benefits that is free to you with your AFP Membership.

Interested? Please complete the application here and submit it by February 26

2016 Honoree Spotlight

In celebration of the AFP Chicago 40th Annual Philanthropy Awards Luncheon over the next few months, we will be spotlighting our distinguished 2016 honorees.

This month, we are introducing our
Distinguished Philanthropists Award honorees, Kimball and Karen Anderson.

"Throughout their professional lives, Kimball and Karen have been strong partners in giving. Their desire to give back to others runs deep and stems from childhoods when their parents exposed them to the importance of contributing to others."

Both lawyers, Kimball is a senior partner at Winston & Strawn and Karen, who had previously worked at Vedder Price and the Chicago Board of Education, is now retired.  Through their generous personal financial contributions and their leadership in philanthropy, the Andersons have made a long-lasting, tangible impact across a range of charitable causes in Chicago.  Much of their philanthropy in the last forty years has focused on a range of causes related to legal aid.

Meet Kimball and Karen Anderson here.
